OK im going to start breeding mice again.....
but curious has anybody ever planted things in there cage?
i am thinking of trying a nutural look?
what kind of plants could i try?

I know that with my rats, if i put any plants in their cage they either eat them or destroy them, i dunno if it would be the same with mice though.

never thought about adding plants with my rats, but seeing as you said, they do just munch on stuff, regardless of whether it's tasty or not...cheeky bums!

Yeah when i clean out my rats cage i sometimes put them in my porch in my house to let them run around for a bit on their own safety while i clean out their cage, i have a lot of indoor house plants in the porch and they have chewed off leaves from them in the past etc.

hmm more than likely... does it harm them or will they be ok...
hping too breed micees wooo

not much seems to harm rats....they tell you no milk, no chocolate....no orange juice (for boys only)....yet mine steal everything and are fine!

:good: I think that would be a great idea. It would be nicer for the mice and make your tank look cooler. I would just make sure the plants are not poisonus for the mice.

would you believe pets at home dont ell mice....
may get a rat though....
or gerbils or a dwarf hamster....

yup, I agree! I have both rats and mice and they all chew EVERYTHING apart. Plus they do it fairly quickly. I think they just rip everything apart so that can put in little piles for their nests. heehee. so cute tho! I would think you should expect to change the plants quite often. Then again maybe you have well behaved mice.

saying that our rats chewed a hold into our sofa....and then a hole out of the side....was both pissing myself laughing and really angry when we save a head poking out of the side of the sofa!!!

th cage i have wont home a rat :(
so guess its hamsters although gerbils is a possibility

Yup, I watch my rats with a hawk eye when I let them out. Sorry about your sofa(but that is funny)! I used to breed mice as well. I had a fancy beige teddy mouse with longish hair and a dalmation female. They made the most adorable calico babies! Alas, one day my kitties knocked the boy teddy cage down and I found him dead.
But before that I had babies EVERYWHERE! I couldn't find homes for them fast enough! The best was when I saw 13 little babies hanging onto their wheel (both on inside and outside of the wheel). One time we watched them go around 15 times on the wheel before little baby mice went flying everywhere. I think I laughed so hard that my eyeballs popped out!
