can some plants growth be effected by the current produced by the filter?

Wouldn't think so. In fact a decent flow is likely to increase growth due to something called the barrier effect. Basically the water closest to the plant leaves gets depleted of nutrients and CO2 and in low flows it doesn't get replenished. In strong currents this thin layer of depleted nutrients gets replaced by 'fresh,' nutrient laden water.
