Ok so thus far I was going to set up a mbuna tank but I took out the plants and fish from my smaller tank 25 Gal us and put them in the new one, to scrub down the old tank. Well the new tank is a 55 gal, and I starting thinking a larger community would be far more rewarding than cichlids.
I currently have
1.3 spot gourami
1. Sunset gourami
1. Betta(yes I'm one of the lucky people whose is laid back)
10 or more guppies
3. panda corries
3. Glass shrimp
I want to ditch the guppies. Add a similar sized schooling fish, a school of 6 bosami rainbows, 3-5 pandas and more some more shrimp.
I have the old 25 gal. I have 2 HOB filters 30 and a 55. I have a low tech CO2 system. And I have 2 WPG of light in the current setup.
Now the problem some of the fish I have prefer fast water and the betta would not like that at all. Not only that its hard to co2 fert fast moving water. I was wondering if any one could tell me how I could use the second tank to remedy the fert problem even if the betta had to be put in it.
