I've recently trimmed the Alternanthera reinekii and Rotala indica (the extreme left/right deep red and pink stem plants), they normally reach the surface. The Java moss is taking hold nicely on the log and I've recently put in some Java fern although I've yet to attach it properly.

I've added a couple of true Siamese Algae Eaters too, hopely to eat the algae that tends to build in the Ech. tenullus (progressing) lawn.

I suppose it isn't "needed" at all, I thought I'd post a pic in the planted forum and ask some advice about attaching Java fern and also post it in this forum for general viewing.

Sorry if that seems inappropiate

somebody sounds jealous :sly:

great tank gf225, you would have kicked my butt in the TOTM if you submitted it.
LOL  Nice one Konrad!! I voted for you in TOTM by the way, your plants look so healthy. How do you administer your CO2?

I'm glad you posted it here or I never would have seen it! :p Great tank and gorgeous angels!

Truly this demonstrates the difference from someone that just has a tank and likes fish like myself and someone that really knows what they are doing and is willing to put the work into keeping a top rate tank.

Your tank is absolutely fantastic, I can only imagine the amount of care you give it.

Wow!

Any moment he'll want to reply to you and tell you about how he does almost nothing. I remember from the last thread about this tank he did mention that once established, the planted tank needs little more than regular water changes; and of course added foods for both fish and plants. I agree.

--Any reason for the trimmings?

--Your moss looks really healthy, but I'm tempted to say the tank might have looked nicer without it. I know a lot of times the judges criticisize tank keepers (especially the asian influenced ones) about moss over growing perfectly beautiful bog-wood. Might you consider another piece to go next to the moss grown one that would have no moss?
