I'm setting up my 37 Gallon Eclipse again and I'm planning on getting into live plants. I want to do this right from the start, so I need to know what everyones doing as far as substrate. I was looking at Eco-Complete and Flourite; whats everyones opinion between these two? And is there anything else out there?

I would use eco complete. I have used it befor none right now thoe but I will switch back to it soon. It cost abit but worth it.

I'm using Play Sand with Seachem Flourish Tabs. From what I have read it is supposed to do well and so far, since i upped my lighting, it seems to be doing okay.

I love flourite. Just have to rinse it really well first. I have seen incredible root growth on all my plants.

I use 2 inches of flourite topped with 1 inch of gravel. My plants are thriving and I have no complaints.
Make sure to rinse your flourite well and once in the tank add the gravel and gently add water so as not to disturb the substrate too much. Any dust will eventually settle and be sucked out by your filter. It's all worth it! :)

I have to go with the florite as well. I have some in my bow and absolutly love it. No complaints from me.
