I have an aqua one regency 80 which is 180 ltr - 80 long by 60 high by 40 wide. It comes with two T8 20 watt lights, so not very much light. It is also pretty deep. I add plantamin fertiliser after the weekly water change.

I have a picture of the tank below
Fish_tank.JPG

It currently contains a few varieties of sword, vallis, and cryptocorynes, am not sure what the plant at the back in the middle is, but was told it would grow in low light.

I also have a real problem with black algae, which is only on the large piece of bogwood and looks horrible, should I throw this piece of wood away, will anything kill the algae?

The questions I have are:
The vallis is very thin, it doesn't seem to grow very well, it does appear to be re-rooting itself, but breaks off before reaching a good height. The vallis at the front of the tank has barely grown in about 4 months. Should I plant more? Will the light level be ok?

The crypts are ok, but are starting to brown up, is this a light issue?

Can you think of anything that will grow fairly tall at the back of the tank with the lights I currently have.

Many thanks
