Hello,
Does anybody know the laws about shipping aquatic plants within the UK? It says on the government website that you'll need a plant passport? Is this necessary? Do I need a licence? Any packaging advice? My Anubias has grown many rhizomes recently and I might propagate them. (I could make at least 5 propagations).
Thanks.

I think the plant passport is when the plants are imported. The plants I've bought on-line since Brexit have all had a passport, but they've all been imports from the EU, usually Tropica plants. Check the wording of any legislation.

I've only posted frogbit. I put that in a freezer bag and sealed it with tape. Then put that in a cardboard box.
That's how most of my on-line purchases arrived so I copied them.

So I don't need a licence and can just ship it?

I can't find anything other than importing plants which need a passport. This just deals with plants from the EU, for example.

I gave up on crypts as mine all died. The roots turned into black mush :(

Did you find anything else of the government website referring to plant passports?

When we were in the EU plants could be traded here from mainland Europe with no paperwork involved. They can still be traded between other EU countries but not to here without a passport since we've left. But I think it's the importers or exporters who need the passport/licence.
