What plants are considered well for breeding. I've heard of Java Ferns and Moss (for the livebearers) yet, the LFS fails to sell them except for plants such as Elodea and Pennywood Green. Would Elodea be good for breeding (as in, the mother would not be able to find the fry through the plants and that some fry might actually survive). My tank is a 6.5 gallon with heater, filter, ornaments (1 only) and 3 guppies.

Help appreciated :)

Kuro,

(hope this isn't the wrong forum to post in >.<")

Elodea might work if it was floated. A common plant that I think is great to use as it has saved lots of guppy fry for me, is hornwort. Just float it and it will be dense soon as it grows very well.
