are plant pots ok to put in my tank???

i cleaned one out well but there is still some stains of dirt in it will this hurt the fish or do anything to the water?

if they are made from clay or plastic it should be ok.

i would soak it for several days before putting it in. change the water you soak it in every day. should be fine.

Get a new pot, not one that has been used, terracotta is fairly cheap. If it has been used it could introduce disease, or fertilizer which could cause an algae bloom, or pesticides which could kill your fish. If you really want to use an old one, scrub it out really well with a mild bleach solution, rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse.

I will second that. Its not worth the gamble to use one that has had plants in it before.
