Plant Pot

I am thinking of using an upturned plant-pot as a decoration in my tank. I was going to make holes in it so the fish had somewhere to hide.

I was planning to use one of the red brick/teracotta type ones that you buy in B&Q and those sorts of places. Does anyone know if these will be safe for the fish or could they be toxic?

usually yes they are. to test put a few drops of vinegar on it if it fizzes then its not recommended that you use it otherwise its ok. HTH

I use those in 2 of my tanks and have used more. I have no problems and my fish love them. I just put them on the side though.

I hope flowerpots are safe as I've been using them for years you can probably just make one out behind the broody Auratus in my avatar.
