Plant Looks Like Dieing

In my 29 gallon tank, i have two live plants. One of the plants leavesare turning transparent, and there are other leaves growing as well. Should i do a water change or not?

Water change probably wont do very much for the plants they probably need fertiliser or maybe the plants are not suitable for the lighting you have...........what type of plant is it? do you fertilise? need more info.

i think it is a rigidifolius. No i do not use fertilizer

Hi Sunfire

If its the same plant Aponogeton rigidfolius, this plant would be considered a highlight plant it would really need somewhere in the region of 3 WPG and regular fertiliser to thrive, i would say its dying off because of this, perhaps look up the above name and see if you can find a picture and see if its the same plant, if it is i would just remove it from the tank, you would probably have to upgrade your lighting if you want to grow high light plants.

i think its this: Cryptocoryne walkeri, just younger. it's not really dieing, it more like its shedding old leaves and sprouting new one.
