Good Day All,

I am posting this question here as in the Plant section nothing gets answered.

I would like to know about Caboma Caroliniana/Furcata. I have a 25 gal tank with 4 cichlids. I presently have Java Fern in there and is doing just awsome even with my monster Pleco. Will the Caboma do okay in this tank as well? :/

The store I bought it from has it in all their cichid tanks, oscars included. B)

I bought just one plant of this as plants can be an expensive salad, where is the best place to position the Caboma, front, back or side of tank?

And one more quesiton for a friend, which of the other types of fish other than cichlids are good in a planted tank that will not eat up the plants to much? She also has a 25 gal and would like to have a nice display tank with all sorts of different fish. She also has the Caboma and Java Fern in there at present?

Have a nice day :D :alien: :fun: .................Lynn

I do not know how that plant would be with cichlids. I did have trouble growing it with 2 watts per gallon. The bottom leaves turned brown and died.

Cabomba is not an easy plant to keep successfully. It needs very bright light. 8)

Also needs quite soft water,it will die off in a PH over 7 and really needs a PH of around 6-6.5.
