Plant Ideas For A Freshwater Tank

I have a 75 gallon freshwater tank that currently has 6 regular tiger barbs (I want to get a couple more I was thinking albino : ), 1 redtailed shark, and a common pleco. My common pleco will be being returned to my friend who has the tank setup and room for him (he's like a bull in a china shop in my tank now).

I want to get some live plants but have never had experience with them before . Is there certain types that would be best with my fish? Also how do you care for the plants, if I can do live plants? My friend always complain about hers overrunning her tank. Also how do I plant them in the tank? I have gravel in there now.

any you particularly like the look of?

plants will take nitrAtes out of water to use as fertiliser but > the planted section will go into depth about CO2, lighting, plant food etc etc.

with like any plant that is healthy gorws and grows but WE still have to prune them !!!! goes with territory sorri
