Hello,

Could anyone tell me the name of this grass like plant please?

Vallis. spiralis, aka common Vallis.

Thank you :hyper:

There is another grass-like aquatic plant thats name has something to do with spiderweb if memory serves well. Anybody have any clue as to what I mean?

Spider plants are sometimes sold as aquatic plants, but the won't last long before starting to rot. Other aquatic grass like plants are: Echinodorus tenellus, Eleocharis acicularis, Eleocharis parvula, Eleocharis vivipara, Lilaeopsis brasiliensis and Cyperus helferi.

cheers :good:

Don't think it was any of those to be honest. Though they are nice and I thank you for the names :good:

Thinking about it, I don't think it had 'spider' I think it's common name was something like webbed or cobweb.

It's bright green, and a really long, fine, grass/weed looking plant. I thought it was stringy algae or moss when is saw it in my LFS.

Like this I think, the long grass in the background.

So it's hairgrass then, as Pest Control Said. Clue in the URL

:X

I don't think it is. lol

My memory may be distorted but...it just doesn't ring the right bells.

Thanks for the help though guys, It cant be easy for you :fun:

I went into my LFS where i saw this 'plant' today and im told it is actually a pest algae weed type thing.

Is it one of the Utricularia spp? For example U. gibba? Much (if not all) of that genus is carnivorous, but whichever species I used to have only went for day old fry and no larger.

It may be Rhizoclonium.

The examples I've seen give a lovely natural look.
