Plant Eating Tiger Barbs

do tiger barbs eat plants?

i read somewhere that they might nibble on plants ... it freaked me out cuz i was plannin on getting some

and i worked soo hard on my plants to get them lookin good i would hate it if they would distroy everything

have had 6 tiger barbs in a planted tank for over 4 yrs & never seen them eat any plants, they may occasionally look interested but have never seen them take a bite or even a half hearted nibble!!! although our barbs are very well fed.........& i do put a lettuce leaf & peas in the tank at least once a fortnight so maybe this helps curb their cravings for the green stuff
