Hi

My plants dont seem to be lasting long in the tank..apart from the fish eating them they seem to to brown quite quickly. My water stats are ok.. Any ideas. when they were planted i didnt seperate them out from when they were in the the shop and put them in the substrate in their pots, i think this may be the problem.

Hi,
Try adding an iron supplement like Flourish Iron. Also, if these are new additions to the tank, let it runs its course. I have had a number of plants that when I bought within 2 weeks looked flat out nasty. Prune the leaves when they get unbearable to look at and wait. I had two that were as tall as the water level that turned yellow with brown spots and started getting see through thin. Clipped it all away down to little stems and in 3 weeks had new growth of brite green leaves.

Good luck
