I have a small question, I got a 23 gallon planted tank, and I'm planning to get a new (internal) filter. Is 700 liters/hour a bit too much for a 23 gal tank? I don't want the plants getting uprooted. That said, the filter comes with a hose that has a number of outlets for spraying out water.

Hi akudewan, I would say 700 l/ hour is a bit much for your 23 gallon PLANTED tank. I would get a filter that will turn your total water volume by 2-3 times per hour. I forget the flow rate of a Fluval 2 internal filter. If you have that filter available I would try it. Good luck with your planted tank. I love planted tanks! :)

Thanks for the reply. I'll get the smaller one, its not a Fluval, but it seems to be a good one. I'll use it along with the one I have at present (for a month), so that the bacteria can be cultivated in the new one
