I have german blue ram fry (couple days old) right now. I just went over to check on them and noticed a few (very few) small white 'worms' crawling around in there. They are VERY tiny. There is nothing in this tank but the babies and a java fern. No substrate. Is this planaria and is it harmful for my fry? I read they eat algaes and decaying fish... they wont harm my fry tho will they? I've been leaving the tank light off a lot because the fry seem to like it better with the lights off.. I read that planaria dont like high lighting.. if I keep the lights on.. will that kill them (I'd like to get rid of them) I'm going to do a water change, but I cant use a gravel vac cause I will suck all the babies right out. (GBR fry are TINY.)

If its planaria then your fish have nothing to worry about as they will not harm the fish. The fry will probably eat them when they get a little older. Planaria outbreaks often are caused by overfeeding and lots of decayed food in the tank and the outbreak generally does not last long if the food is removed but like i said they will not harm the fish. HTH :)
