I think he is either Peckoltia oligospila (L006) or Peckoltia sp. (L008) or a common Pl*co. I havent been able to find out which because its very hard to get a good look at it. How many gallons should he/she need when adult? I imagine its still a young pl*co, but I'm not sure because I don't know how large they get. Does it have any special needs? when larger, can it go with small fish?

I read that the L006 and L008 need a minium of US 15 gal that true? WHen it says minium of 15 gals does that mean alone, or can there be other fish in the tank too? And common pl*cos need minium of 75 gal?

is this fish to go in with the goldies in the coldwater tank?

No, pl*cos need heated tanks (or at least to live a long life, from what I've heard and I definitely want him to live as long as possible). If its a common he'll have his own 75 gal, that is, if I can'tput any fish or anything in with him

think u need 2 get a picture posted lol becasue the L06 and L08 will only get to arounbd 4 inches and a common will get in excess of 12+ inches and with out it been confirmed wot it is its very hard 2 give u info ur looking for :)

when it sayss minimum this ..minimum that no it doesnt mean that it has 2 be on its own plecs really dont bother any other fish other than other plecs through terratorial issues hence the minimum tank size per fish/plec.

again cant tell u the needs of a particular plec unless its known the actuall species in the first place :)

get a pic up and we will confirm its identityand will be able 2 gie u much better anwsers 2 your questions
