One of my LFS got some Pitbull Plecos in, and after looking at them I've decided I really like them. And since I take anything my LFS employies say with a grain of salt, I was just curious. How many if any at all would safely live in a 20 gallon tank? Thanks :)

they are a very sociable little plec... They are also very low on waste (as they are small)

I'd go for 5.

Agreed. As long as you have some open sand at the front of the tank you will see them all the time. I had 4 in my 125Ltr and next month will have 4 again.

If you get a small piece of slate and put it somewhere in the middle of the sand play area you will find that the dominant male will perch on it, no word of a lie. When they are all relaxing in their little bit of sand it will always be the same one 'on the perch'

Just a little proof if needed
