Hi everyone,

I bought a small shoal of piranha’s around a week ago, they look great and they are very interesting when it comes to feeding time!!

I feed them a variety of cows heart, bloodworm, cows liver (which makes a mess of the tank!) Normal fish flakes and I have fed them steak once.

Is that food ok to feed them and has anyone got any other ideas what I can feed them?

Thanks guys

:D

Most of the time I fed my Piranha feeder fish. Every once in a while I fed him hotdogs and hamberger.
I wonder if they would eat pellet food.

It's illegal to use feeders in the uk

Having watched a very interesting program on Piranha on channel 5
the other night.
I would say that they will eat anything, meat, nuts, berries, even eachother if hungry enough.
Some of the Indian tribes, in Venezuala, use pigs to catch Piranha as, Piranha head soup is considered by them to be an aphrodisiac. So you could try pork, bacon, gammon etc.
Do not try the soup yourself, unless you go to Venezuala that is
