As any pet owner you probably read up on your pet and I read that people have been putting oscars in the same tank with red bellies ...

Maybe it's just me but that seems kinda aiming for a 97% fail rate on a large decent fish like the Oscar dying.

??

2 be honest it may well be the other way round piranha tend 2 be very shy/timid/scraed of new things so IMO there is a good chance the piranah would get hurt:) but i mite be wrong :p

It depends on the Piranha. If it's a Serrasalmus species the Oscar will die but with most Pygocentrus species they are more shy and like to be in groups.

I wouldn't be surprised if the oscar bullied the piranha for a little while if it's a solo like a red belly but first time that piranha gets hungry or can't escape the oscar will be dead in seconds.

Oscars are slow and cumbersome and in general not that aggressive. Piranhas are built for speed and killing. Oscars don't have teeth and new world cichlids fight mouth to mouth. Piranha's have teeth and the power to take fingers off in one bite. It's not hard to figure out the ourcome.
