if they are red bellies they will be shy and skittish at first.how bigs there tank?how big are the piranha?i thought you only had a 30g.they cant stay in that long

Most pygo's are skittish when placed in their new tank, they'll be be fairly skittish even when they're comfortable.

Seeing as you just have a single p, all yours will probably do is hide most of the time. They are a shoaling fish and need others for security.

Make sure you feed more than just nightcrawlers so he gets enough nutrients. 7" is pretty small for a 5 year old rbp.

they didn't say that went i bought it

i did feed fish for first couple of years but my fish store quit selling

so he get them here and there

what else could i feed him ???

That's ok, you had no idea. Seeing your posts it's apparent how much you like him and want the best for him.

Here's a couple things you could try feeding. Some of the things he may not go for at first since he's used to seeing worms only. If they don't work, take it out after 30 minutes and wait 2 days and try again. If that doesn't work wait again for a couple days and retry. I've had to make mine go 3 weeks without eating something I was trying to get him to eat and now he loves it.

This isn't a complete list but off the top of my head. Most of this you can get at the grocery store and it's a lot cheaper.

Krill (excelent for making the colors darker)
Prawns
white fish fillets (catfish, tilapia) (stay away form red meats and fatty fish)
earthworms
cichlid pellets
salmon
silversides
octopus
squid
clams
mussels
smelt
shrimp

thanks a lot

a cut & paste the foods so i remember

that was some cool stuff
i had a catfish that loves shimp sweet

:good:  :thanks:
