Piranha Feeding?

I am currently feeding the piranha cooked prawns/shrimps (as part of there varied diet) defrosted from the freezer ... The fact they are cooked is no problem?

Any Tips on feeding? As My piranha is nervious of me approaching the tank during feeding. (I have only had the piranha 48hours)

I wouldn't feed them cooked shrimp as this releases some of the nutrients. Frozen white meat fish (not salmon, tuna, etc), squid, prawns, krill, pellets (if you can get it to eat them), and beefheart (only occasionally). If you want, you could throw in a properly quarantined guppy or ghost shrimp or something like that. Do not feed it feeders (golfish, minnows, other cyprinids) as these have high levels of thiaminase that breaks down vitamin b.

And your piranha will be nervous for quite sometime until it adjusts to its surroundings. Some times it can take more than a year for the fish to really come out of its shell, but it is worth the wait. It can be a very rewarding fish just given some time.

Yeah I will visit the local grocers see what they got ... unless you think it best to visit a pet shop instead.
