What size tank is suitable for 3 Piranahs?? My friend says a 75gallon I want to prove him wrong I'm think more of like 110-125gallon for them

i'd agree with you, but would increase the number of piranhas to 5-6.

however, piranha questions are generally best asked in Characins.

yer i would say if you get them get them in a pack of 10 to start with from babys as by the time they get big they would of eaten each other my mate started with 10 and now as 5 and they still only about half size and are hard to add new fish to the pack if you wanted to he had his lot in a 4ft fish tank and they seem ok

i keep 3 red bellies in a 48x18x18
but ideally i would give a small group of reds a 5x2x2

ive seen the vid of your ones my mates ones are no where near that size yet did you only get 3 from the start? my mate says by the time his are full size he hopes to have 3 left but nothing he does can seem to stop them killing and eating each other

i started off with four tiny ones 18 months ago
but one got eaten about two months ago

to be honest your friend is probably right 3 reds in a 75g will be fine
imo they would prefer a larger group and a larger tank
