PIRAHNA!

You could easily keep around 6 adult red belly piranha in a 100g tank without problems.

Where on earth did you get the idea that piranha need 200g each? Even the largest species Serrasalmus rhombeus can be kept in a 75 gallon tank to its self.

yes cfc is right you could keep piranha in a 100g i would say 6 red belly p's in that size tank.
i used to keep 2 6'' pygocentrus nattereri (reds) and 2 7'' pygocentrus cariba 7'' and 1 6'' pygocentrus piraya in my 85g only until early febuary when i sold them and bought the fish i have now.
i also kept a 4'' serrasalmus spilopleura (purple diamond) in my 20g.
i may get another piranha one day we will see.
if you want any piranha info pm me or just ask in a thread i kept them for years and have had 5 different specie and 15 different piranha.

Sorry, i tihnk i had them and pacu mixed up:( Can you keep some pirahnas with some SD's and a Red Oscar  :dunno: Sorry this might be a stupid question....unless of course the only stupid question is the one that isnt asked!
dont keep piranha with any other fish as they will be lunch however there is a few exceptions like large plecs at least twice as big as the piranha.
my plec lived with p's for 2 years and was never bitten,i did keep other fish with p's when i was a piranha newbie and most died and the other i have them away to save them, this included a oscar and some convicts amongst others.
