Having switched my maintank to a tetratec ex1200 and a hydor 300 external heater and been very happy, I thought I'd do the same with the small 80l one.

I got a Tetratec ex600 for this, and another hydor 300 (the 200 seemed hard to find). Problem, I didn't relise the pipes on the ex600 are smaller, and the heater won't fit.

Do I just have to resell the heater on e-bay (certainty at a loss) and stick with my old internal heater, or is there a (safe) way to get the hydor's 16mm diameter to connect to 12mm pipes?

Hi, you would be best trying to get hold of a Hydor to fit 12mm pipes.

And I have one that I would be willing to do a deal with, 200w Hydor which fits 12mm pipe. PM me if you are interested in a swap :good:
