Pipe Cleaning

im about to clean my pipes and plastic spray bar and any other plastic parts to get rid of built up algae but plastic is being a paint to pull apart and i don't want to break it so was wondering how to go about this problem cheers

Can't you clean the tubes as they are if they won't pull apart?

For the tubes on my filter I use a toothbrush taped to the end of some twin and earth electrical wire, then push the brush in and use the wire to twist the brush round inside the tubing.

If you can't pull things apart easily, a small diameter bottle brush with a nice long handle works wonders.

I had a net curtain tension rod left over from some while ago and tend to stuff a couple of "wan sheet does plenty" sheets in then push through with the tension rod
