Hi guys.
I purchased a pinktail trigger for my reef tank on Saturday. Now I know they are fine to keep with corals but not with inverts like shrimp which they would soon eat. However, what about tridacna clams eg derasa. I am very interested in getting one of these but im not if the trigger will be safe with it.

Does anyone have any experience with clams and pinktails or any other information please?
thanks

Josh

Hi josh

i have a 2 pink tail triggers in my reef and they are both fine why my clams and inverts just keep them well fed i have 2 feed them 4 times a day but should be ok

Josh, I am going from a theoretical stand point as a trigger in my 24g would be a bit of a squeeze . The literature points to Tridacna clams are the same as coral when it comes to trigger fish i.e no worries it should be fine. Good luck with the hunt.
