Pink Puffer

What sort of puffer is the pink one at the top of the page? Is it actually pink or is it a trick of the light? Is there any reason for it being pink? Camoflage on coral reefs maybe?

It's SirMinions Fahaka Puffer (aka Nile Puffer) Tetraodon lineatus, and yes it is pink.

They vary from red to pink to maroon and everything in between.

They don't live in Coral reefs, they live in rivers. They're totally freshwater.

So is the pink like a warning colour? It seems like it would make it stick out like a sore thumb on a green planted river bed or a sandy or pebbly one?
