my fluval 205's sponge filter pads are pink? the 2 that turned pink are about a week old the other 2 are brown which is normal i have checked i still have all my fish and i didnt see any fry :/ and the last time i fed them bloodworm was way before i got the new pads? is this normal for pads to turn pink ive never seen it before

did you add laterite cuz
my filter was pinkish when i did.... jsut a thought...
 
hey this is a real old topic but o well hey i ahd the same problem and apparently it was just the water reacting with the media does absoulouttly no harm ( i think :S )
 
lol i dont even use my 205 anymore, (not because of the media, i have a tetra instead) this thread is so old. Also i will be putting it up for sale in a weeks time but no media included. pm me if intrested
