I had a Pictus Cat once, and as anyone will tell you who's heard me go on about it, I LOVED it!!! They are very friendly--not to mention hyperactive--fish, and will shoal with other fish even of different species, so he should leave your bristlenose alone.
What it eats:
Anything
that
it
can
fit
in
it's
MOUTH!!!
In other words, it is a great scavenger, but will eat fry.
A word of caution: the Pictus Cat has sharp, serrated dorsal and pectoral fins, which are poisonous--so handle it carefully, or you're going to get a nasty cut!!! Also, because of these spines, it can get stuck in a net very easily. I once made that mistake, and had to spend 5 whole minutes cutting it out of my net (he shook it off, though--never got sick or anything!!), so I recommend that you use a glass jar or something to catch it with instead.
If all goes well, you should have up to eight years (they live a long time) of enjoyment with this beautful fish!!
