Sooner or later the ottos will be eaten by the pictus which also poses the threat of the otto becoming stuck in the pictus cats throat and choking it to death.
wow how big was the catfish? my ottos wouldn't fit in my pictus's mouth. Don't worry though, My pictus is not with them right now. He is in his own tank. I was just wondering cause I've been thinking about putting him in with my community.
I have mollys, 2 ottos, and some orange von rio tetras (not little like neons).
Well I recently Accidentaly bought 2 red minor tetras (Asked for orange von rios) the clerk netted the wrong ones but I told her they would be fine... NOT
They started nipping the fins of my 5 orange von rios so I was going to take them back to the pet store.. but then decided on the unthinkable!!
They are in with the Pictus cat
...
*drum roll*
They are doing great!! the cat don't bother them in the least. So they can stay there and keep him company. No worries of them nipping my cat's fins either, my cat has his territory and the minors do not go. Lots of plants for the fish to hide in when the cat is out & about too so I think this will work out
