Pictus Catfish

So I have this catfish and I had him by himself for about 4-5 months, not realizing that they like to be in groups. He has his own cave that is a pretty big size and he is always in it, which I read was normal when they are by themselves. Well I just went out and bought 2 more of them so that he can have some friends, but he really doesn't want anything to do with them, and we won't let them go near his home. Will this go away over time?

Probably not as he's created a territory. Best solution here is to move the tank about to 'break' the territory link. They should join up as will have no individual boundaries to protect.
