My pictus catfish snapped his whisker on something in the tank recently, however it hasn't fallen off after about a week. Its bent at 90 degrees about 2cm out from him and kind of drags along his side. I have a feeling its going to heal at this odd angle.

I'm pretty sure that the whiskers grow back so should I leave it or attempt to cut off the bad bit and hope it grows back normally?

i would just leave it will sort
it out its self cutting it off
could lead to infection .i have
seen ca fish grow whiskers back
in the past once a a clarias
catfish when i got it had no
whiskers at all after a month or
two they were growing back

As said the barbels will grow back, once they do fall off, (best to let this happen naturally)

It is not uncommon for larger cichlids to bite the barbels off so you may want to keep an eye out for any future aggression
