hey guys,

done my rescape took ages, the argonate sand i got sold was crap, i asked for the sand in the display tank which i pretty much knew was coral sand, the guy said it was argonate, i got it in the tank it was white and full of shells, yuck, im going to put that in the sump to help raise ph, i went to the lfs and got some propper coral sand.

my inspiration was a crumbles fallen rock pile, i added a power head to to give more movement, also added an second external filter an interpet 150 does up to 33 gallons, and for £30 its a minter lol

should have kept the argo w/ the tiny shells.

LOVING THE BACKGROUND THOUGH!!

THat background Iz TEH BOMB!!, I seriously cant tell which are the real rocks and which are fake

I love the way the tank is built into the wall - very tidy - like you are looking directly into the lake from some sort of underwater viewing station - if you get what I mean. How do you do work on the tank though and where's the sump - in the wall as well? It's very natural with the algae covered background that blends in perfectly with your rock piles. Lovely selection of fish as well.

Really nice :good: i like your background. Is that loads of algae i see growing on it ? bet your fish love that !! or is it already green ?

thanks for the comments guys

the tank is just under 4ft by about 20"x20"

its built into the wall, the wall is a studded plaster board wall, not load bearing, it actually closes the under stairs off. so i can get to the back of the tank via a door in the kitchen.

the tank sits on a wooden frame, and the sump sits under it, with a external either end and a powerhead and internal fluval +2 in the left hand top corner while in the right i have a uv filter.

as for the argo, i couldn't get it all out so its a mixture of that and coral sand, the fish have already been diging, so there are a few shels come to the surface already lol, im planning on putting the rest into the sump so it will leach the ph out.

here is the view into the back, this is when it was planted

and making it fit,

as for algae its real lol, its really grown on the background, the background is made of foam, so it turns into a living filter, and the babies can hide round back, i have tubes that go through the foam to the back of the tank, so it makes little caves
