I used to mess about making pictures in media back at school. Downloaded Fireworks MX 2004 today, thought I would make this for my signiture.

What you think? Took me about 5 minutes to make.

For 5 mins it's very good. Was the fish pre-cutout?

It had a dark background with gravel at the bottom (off google) so i just removed the background.

I used to use Photoshop CS 2 (on a very amateur level) and I don't know how easy it is with the app you were using, but some sort of effect to add a little depth to your name and some sort of texture (preferably very discreet, like a light plastic effect over the whole sig) would make the whole thing a little more solid.

I was going to post a link to one I made in 2005 for another forum, but I've just realised the little so-and-so's on imageshack have deleted it.

How do I do the plastic effect over it? - Are you able to do it on fireworks MX ?

im new to this forum so just browsing around atm, if you can use flash, you can add all sorts effects to this pic

i think the underglow of maybe a white neon colour would work well? just a suggestion.

this is the best i could do just off the cuff, what do you reckon, i havent added any effects yet, just the basci design at the mo lol
