I've just bought 4 new 18x12x12 tanks today to aid me in my little breeding projects..

I had a friend at work who's husband built me this...

Top one will be used to cultivate snails to feed puffs / loaches...
One will be for Bettas. One for Corys. My wife wants to keep kuhlis in the other one..

As for lighting, was going to get 2x large aquarium lights and run them down either back leg unless someone else has some ideas?

That's a wonderful stack! Your handyman friend is a keeper :D . I am wondering if you have it bolted to the wall? We have so many earthquakes here I'd be afraid to have it free standing. I am looking forward to seeing it filled with fish.

Thats really cool! I'd love to have that kinda set up! Imagine having like 3 of those things!! It would be like having your own aquarium :D

I think your idea for the lighting should work fine! By the way what size tank are they in Gallons or Litres?

Ben :)

Tanks are 18x12x12in... Only 10ish gallons. Nothing major.
Good for keeping babies in though.

As for having three of them............ (the stands)

He's made it so I can expand it :)

Looks great! But yeah make sure those shelving brackets are strong enough to hold those tank!

Cool, sound big enough to me for what you'll be using them for :)

You need to get 3 of the stands all with tanks on and put them across a wall...... Talk about interactive wallpaper :D

Ben :)

I have been assured that as a freestanding unit it will hold the tanks. I dangled off the top shelf (i'm nearly 15 stone) and it held my weight :)

They look Awesome.

Good luck with the Breeding.

Just started putting the stuff in the tanks...
