Picked Up Some Sand

so i got a big bag of playground sand, now im looking for any tips or tricks on cleaning it. anything would help alot. thanks

k so i just set up a new 10gallon and used sand, its pretty cloudy, i can kind of see the heater and can barley see teh filter, is that normal. how long will it take to clear with the filter running?

When I cleaned my play sand it didnt go cloudy at all in the tank If you leave it as it is then if it's just the sand and not dirt then it should settle down otherwise you will have to syphon the water out an clean the sand again.

Sounds like you didn't clean it well enough.
