Ok so yesterday I figured i'd try a new DP to go with my lonely guy.

I came home and noticed she has a bit of a balance problem, wobbling left and right and upon closer look saw her tail got nipped good. now she is floating pretty listelsss, but he keeps nudging her along, when she rests on the botom he nudges up against her. and tries pushing her up.

when courting are DP's known to get a bit too agressive?

or is he just a special case scenerio?

ok she is doing so much worse. Imagine a small boat in a terrible storm , shes rocking back and forth, almost by 90 degrees. I could undeerstand the damadge fin, but geez, its as if she is drunk.

Poison?

I guess puffer fish arent exactly my forte,

she is in the isolation tank with two neons, though I dont know if she'll even recover, its pretty bad.. :/

shortly after removing the female, the male is going absolutely bonkers

did you quarantine her or did you add her to the tank straight from the store?

how long did you spend on acclimating her?

did you remove the male and rearrange the tank before introducing her?

how many hiding spots do you have?(a literal count would be good)

what are your ammonia/nitrIte/nitrAte readings?

well no I didnt Isolate her first her, as I dont exactly trust the QT tank.... its being converted to a snail factory, so to speek,

I gave her about 25 minute in the bag, as it was a larger bag then normal.

this tanks stats as of last saturday, 0-0-20, I havent read the PH though

The tank has about 3 defined caves, but the hiding places could be endless if one was to be imaginative.

I didnt rearange the tank when putting her in, does it particularly matter at only 10 gallons? I would think it would only take him about 5 minutes refamiliarize himelf, if that.

I did make sure to feed him very well before picking her up.

here is the tank in question, frgot to replant the floating fakie...
