Go to www.photobucket.com and create an account there (free). Then you upload your picture from your computer to your photobucket account (use the big button on the photobucket site that says upload ;)). Once uploaded, the picture will appear as a thumbnail in an "album" in your photobucket account. Underneath will be some internet source codes. copy and paste the IMG code here :)

Ok this is a bigger image does anyone know what it is???? I am thinking lps notice 1: it has an exoskeleton behind it like an lps. 2: it has a mucus/membrane between the polyps. 3: it has only produces 1 new polyp in over a year.

Looks more like an anemone than a coral. Definitely non-photosynthetic and as such, will not grow fast (as you've seen). Were it my tank, I'd leave it as I'm sure it's a decent filter feeder :)

true it is nocturnal and it gets twice the size it is now when the lights go out but look aound the clear poplys on the rock there

is a yellow membrane that is not part of the rock.look through the small polyp facing forward there looks like a hard ridge

beneath it like an lps.

i have something similar in my sump, but the stony base is more extended from the rock

haven't spread more than inch in 2.5 years

i believe they're cup coral

Hmmm. Well ignore my corallimorph thing from the other thread. The big one looks a lot like the smaller curly-cue nems that used to pass through one of the LFSs I frequent. The body colors on those were also yellow-brown, sometimes with stripes.
