just looking for some advise on the best type of paint to buy to paint the back of my marine tank? I want to do that before i do anything else as ive heard its difficult to do later when things are in the tank. Im a complete paint novice and hav enever picked up a paint brush so keep it simple for me

I have use spray paint intended for touching up scratches on cars before, but that was years ago, maybe someone else has more recent experience..

i dont feel very confident with a spray can :sly: was thinking more the kind you brush on

I asked same question about 8 months ago and I went with the majority on tile paint

I got royal blue tile paint from b and q and it was spot on, easy to use and an even better than expected finish when dry

As long as it's not an oil based paint it should work. They also make clear primers to help the paint stick.

Just go to the local arts and craft store and ask them what they think. They should know(at least mine did). I can't remember the name of the paint or primer I got.

Edit: i hope it's the outside of the tank that your painting! :fun:
