Hi,

Ok I am thinking of purchasing a Phosban reactor and connecting it via my Ehiem meaning I wont have to use a seperate pump for the reactor.

Below is a visio of what I want to do, basically run the outlet pip from the Ehiem to the inlet of the phosban then from the outlet on the phosban to my spray bay. The red blocks in the pic will be detachable taps meaning I can stop the water flowing in and out of the reactor, take it out and change the media etc.

I all ready have a cut off leaver on my Ehiem meaning I can stop flow in and out of that whilst still connected to the power. So the idea is when I need to change the reactor media I stop the flow on the Ehiem, turn the 2 taps to the off position, detach them and change the media.

Anyone tried this before? if not can anyone think of any reason why it would not work?

Hi the only problem that i can see you may have is flow rate as the reactor requires a low flow rate as phosban needs to tumble very gently in reactor.
to vigorous will grind phosban down.
may be split water exiting filter.
