my ph is currently at 6.4 would i need to up it or no and if i do need to how can i?

It depends what fish you want to keep but lower gives you more options than higher.
Also keeping fish in a not ideal PH is better than a constantly altering PH, so its best to leave it alone.

It might even eventually go up slightly (6.8-7) and stable out there,
if the tank is just set up (mine did anyway lol).

Fish apat your ph is fine for most fish .
