pH level...

is there any quick ways to lower the pH level (sitting round 8) of a 30g tank?
water changes would not help for the tapwater here is around 8
could the water pH level stay this way because of plants?
there are only two plecos living in it right nwo and are perfectly fine although i do intend on buying some harliquin rasboras and a dwarf gourami

if you want a "quick" ph lowerer
then go to any walmart (i beleive its there) or local fish store and look for the bottle that says "PH down"
i can find it pretty cheap here
but ya always gotta dig in your pockets if ya want somethin' done fast
