Ahhh once again, I have burned a huge hole in my pocket with the minimal amount of spending (well.. shouldn't be) money I have. Took a trip to the lfs around... what did I plan on getting? An algae scrubber pad for my acrylic tanks! What did I get? Fish! lol... always, always.
Ended up getting the necessary supplies (Stress Coat, scrubber..etc).. but also ended up buying a new setup for a betta - an Azoo tank. Then of course had to "furnish" that sucker, but I'm pleased with how it looks. Picked out a beautiful, very unique boy to go in it - he's steel blue/grey with maroon highlights in his fins. Read more about him in the Betta forum.
Anyways, also decided I wanted some more African Dwarf Frogs since mine has disappeared... picked up two of those - I was so excited to see them in stock, they're not incredibly common around here. They'll be fun! Also decided that since I love my current Dwarf Gourami so much (he's the personality plus "spitter"!), and my other died awhile back, I needed another boy for my 6 gallon. Picked up the most gorgeous Powder Blue ever. In the past I've thought they were sort of boring, but he is just stunning - looks like he is coated in silver.
Overall... it was a successful day.
Edit: Ugh, forgot to say - I gravel vacuumed the 10 again, and what did I find.. AGAIN?! More freakin fry... I haven't counted yet, as they are still in the bucket and I need sleep, but there's at least 15. My fish are waaaayyyy too happy.
