I looove pets mart ... I always go there for supplies, and I even had my dogs trained there, but I went last night and was totally disapointed. I got everything I need with no problems, and headed over to see the fish ["just looking" of course :p ] I was looking at the guppies (as usual) and noticed that there was a dead fish floating around. The filter was pulling it in and the water flowing back into the tank was throughing it all over the tank. I thought it was no big deal, I mean, fish die sometimes... I pointed it out to the lady who said she would get it ASAP, and continued looking. There was more dead fish than usual at the store, so I stole a glance at the guppy tank before I left. Another worker was helping two little girls - they looked about 11 - and the fish they were getting probably shouldn't be mixed but the worker got them anyways, without saying anything (surprise -_- surprise). I said nothing, and watched a male guppy struggling to swim and gasping around the tank until it died right in front of me. Not cool  I pointed it out and she said "that's nice" and pushed the ladder right in front of me, I mean, If I wouldn't have moved it would have hit me. My mom looked like she was about to hit someone, so we left. :-( The whole car ride home my mom was saying that she shouldve complaned to the manager or something, we were both pretty upset. I love pets mart, and it kinda ruined the rest of the day.
I just had to complain  It was driving me crazy :/
Anybody else got complaints ??

Hi, sorry you had such a rotten time at Petsmart. Fortunately, I've had nothing but good experiences with the people at my two local Petsmarts. They always have the best trained people who make sure that the fish being purchased are compatible and that you have adequate tank space. Something you and your mother can do is get the manager's name and write a letter to their corporate office expressing 1) why you shop at Petsmart (i.e. good service); 2) why you were dissatisfied with this particular visit (i.e. dead fish, poor service); and 3) that you will shop at their competitors (i.e. Petco) from now on and urge all your friends and associates to do so as well. I guarantee you will receive a response from the corporate office and most likely coupons and gift certificates. Plus the manager at that Petsmart will hear about it and, hopefully, do something about the service. It sounds like a lot of work, but it's well worth it. Good luck!

we have 2 in coventry...one is ok, the other is awful....dont even get me started on the awful one...the other one, is ok, I met a staff member who kinda knew what he was saying, but the fish still looked ill..! :(

I went to a garden center tonight ....just looking that I have brought 99% of my fish froim...the regular guy was on holiday and the girl there seemed un concerned that some red tailed sharks were taking chunks out of a very distressed siamese fighter. They didn't remove it into another tank nor did they take my offer of bringing home to isolate it.....just shows you all shops can be bad but some are worse than others.

Well, i don't know about you guyz but as for me, i don't like PETSMART, Why? because they don't have saltwater fish. As far as for thing for tank ... they're alrite sometime.
