i used to own an ant farm before i got fish, but i never ordered the ants.....

i've got an ant farm there quite fasanating to watch.

we've got an "antquarium"

its perspex and filled with a translutent food gel that they burrow in

very cool to watch

It was until the ants died - then it was quite morbid... the living ants dragged the dead to the surface and umm... disected them

Keep meaning to gather some more... I managed to start a coloney in it (from one queen) - but the young ants got trapped one summer day when the gel melted on the window sill
