Pest Snails

Hi all
When I set up m 29g i got the pest snails. They sucked and did my research and founf the best thing for me was assasin snails. I got 5 of them and they did a great job. Almost immediately I was finding the shells everywhere.
 
Now I have them in my newer 10g shrimp tank. I got 3 assasins thinking that would do the trick. That was a month ago and still no results. They do LOVE to eat the algea wafers i put in the there for the shrimp however so I know they will eat. What is going on? I am starting to get overwhelmed by the snails. Is there another method I could try?

Could be your assassins aren't hungry enough? Could you temporarily move the 5 from your 29g into the 10g to start on the pests?

I remember someone else caught assasin snails eating baby shrimp. Maybe that's why they aren't hungry.
Pest snail population expands when you feed too much. Feed less than what you normally feed and clean more than you clean now and you'll have little to no snails.
