In 1998, I shook the hand that shook the world...... I was introduced to Chuck Norris.... They had a film crew down in South Africa and they wanted to do some filming underground on the Diamond Mine that I was working at in Lime Acres Northern Cape..... (Finsch Mine)

Well, with all the Lights, cameras and action, there was a potential of igniting explosive methane gases occurring naturally in underground mines, so I was assigned to accompany the crew to test for the presence of explosive gases before they could start filming or turn on any of their electrical appliances. So, as their custodian for the day, I was personally introduced to the big man and actually shook hands with him......

I still remember who Chuck Norris is..... I just wonder if he still remembers who Ludwig Venter is????

Have you met a celeb???

chuck norris thats a pretty tough one to beat ludwig but ill have a go....

my next door neighbours brother is a DTM racing driver for mercedes benz called Jamie Green so obviously i socialise with him on many occassion. at his wedding i met Lewis Hamiltons father Anthony Hamilton and many famous racing drivers. but Jamie paid for us all to go to Holland to watch him race a few years ago and got us into the mercedes hospitality suit where i sat down to dinner with Mikka Hakinen and Jean Allesi, this was also the year that Lewis Hamilton won the formula 3 season for mercedes and he sat down on our table after clinching the title :hyper:

some one i use to work with was a keen go karter in northampton and his dad and myself were his mechanics every sunday and in the tent next to us was Rowan Atkinson (mr bean) and Martin Brundle who were there every week to cheer on their sons in races so we spent alot of time talking to them.

i also work with the super bantamweight commonwealth and european boxing champion Rendal Munroe, very down to earth guy and infact he owes me a coffee so ill tap him up for that in the morning

thats it for now but i have a few more ill have to rack my brains for

just remembered 2 more. not as good but they are celebs non the less

i met Blanch from coronation street who was staying in our hotel when we went to manchester to see Oasis :band:

and ive also met Timmy Mallet and got hit on the head by mallets mallet.

ludwig you probably have no idea who these 2 are but im sure if you google them they will appear ;)

Hi, only one I can think of for me at the minute is that I went to school and was childhood friends with Adrian Lewis.

Agree with Matt, the only person who is more famous than Chuck Norris is David Hasslehoff.

I have met a couple of famous people, the first and best is Davina McCall, i was in Majorca on holiday with the lads and she was filming something for sky 1. I went over and bought her a drink, she was awesome. To this day, i think she wanted me.

The second is Julian Cleary...he knows more about football than you probably think!

I saw Beckham from a distance of about 20 feet, he was shopping in Harvey Nics in Leeds and they shut a floor off for him.

I have met the chuckle brothers :D
And shook hands with jonny depp

I sat next to Chris Tarrent and got covered in a custard pie by the phantom flan flinger. Been in the same pub as Carl Foggarty, Steve Spray, Trevor Nation plus a few other racers when I use to follow the bike racing round the country (got rather drunk with the JPS Norton pit crew in Knockhill circuit in Scotland  )
